RANDOLPH COUNTY, Mo. — A Mexico, Mo. resident died in a single-vehicle accident Monday afternoon.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Pate L. Schultz, 19, was northbound on US 63 Highway — north of Clark — when, at 2:49 p.m. Monday, her vehicle slid out of control due to wind-blown snow that drifted over the highway.
Schultz’s vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and into the median and overturned. Schultz was then ejected.
She was pronounced dead at University Hospital
Schultz reportedly was not utilizing a safety device at the time of the crash.
