UPDATE:  4 p.m. – According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, several tips were received in reference to the suspicious person.

A male subject, whose name has not been released, was identified and contacted.

CARROLL COUNTY, Mo. — Authorities in Carroll County are searching for a person driving a suspicious vehicle.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, deputies are asking for the public’s help finding a white male who was observed near a residence in Braymer around 8:00 a.m. Thursday

The suspicious man was found lurking near the garage of the residence on N Highway in Carroll County, and when confronted, asked for directions to Liberty. He then got in his vehicle and drove away.

The suspect is described as a white male, five feet, four inches tall, with a prominent tattoo on his left forearm.

The vehicle in question is a red or bright orange in color Volkswagen Golf or Nissan SUV.

The vehicle is missing its back driver’s window, with black plastic covering the broken window.
