Law enforcement officers executed a search warrant Thursday in a home on O’Bryan Avenue in Keytesville.  In a garage attached to the residence, authorities found a methamphetamine lab and other objects used in the manufacture of the illegal drug.  Two children were taken into protective custody and two adult occupants were transported to the Chariton County Jail to await the filing of formal charges.

On Thursday, October 25, 2012, Officers with the North Missouri Drug Task Force, Chariton County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol executed a Search Warrant located at 26563 OBRYAN Avenue, Keytesville, Missouri. Officers located a Methamphetamine Lab in an attached garage of the residence. Officers seized chemicals and other items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. A search of the residence also produced methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia commonly used in the sale and use of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Two juvenile children were taken into protective custody by the Chariton County Juvenile Office.
A 35 year old female and a 36 year old male occupant of the residence were taken into custody and are currently being held in the Chariton County Jail awaiting formal charges to be filed by the Chariton County Prosecuting Attorney.
The Salisbury Police Department and the Chariton County Juvenile Office also assisted in the investigation.
The search warrant was prepared by Chariton County Prosecuting Attorney Bryan Scheiderer and was signed by Chariton County Associate Judge Andrea Vandeloecht.
