LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo. – New York Times best-selling author, Craig Johnson, will be making an appearance at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center in Chillicothe Sunday, March 13, 2016, at 3:00 p.m.

Winner of several literary awards, Johnson is the author of the popular Walt Longmire series, and has gained even more popularity the past few years following the development of the television series, Longmire, available to view on Netflix.

“The buzz surrounding Mr. Johnson’s visit to Chillicothe has been overwhelming,” stated Robin Westphal, Library Director. “We know of people coming from as far away as Ohio to be here on Sunday for the program.”

Johnson is appearing as the inaugural speaker in the Lillian DesMarias Speaker Series, sponsored by the Livingston County Library Charitable Trust in honor of Lillian DesMarias. DesMarias served as Library Director from 1970 to 1980 and passed away in 2012, leaving the Livingston County Library the majority of her estate.

Johnson is expected to speak for about 45 minutes, then will answer questions from the audience. While the Library has a limited number of copies, the first book in the Walt Longmire series, The Cold Dish, will be available for purchase for $10, with a limit of one book per person.
