Bank Stabilization Project on Route 65 in Lafayette County;
Traffic Reduced to One Lane
 
MACON – On Monday, February 28 at 7:30 a.m. MoDOT crews will begin a bank stabilization project on Route 65 in Lafayette County.  The work will take place on the east side of Route 65 at the Route 24 intersection near Waverly (approximately 1 mile south of the Missouri River).

Crews will work 24-hours a day through Friday, March 4 moving dirt and placing rock on the bank for stabilization.  Traffic at times will be reduced to one-lane and the speed limit will be reduced in the work zone area.   The project should be completed by Friday but is weather dependent and could be delayed or rescheduled.

Some moderate traffic delays can be expected, so motorists are advised to be patient and use caution.
