JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo. – A Johnson County defendant who won an appeal of his jury conviction on numerous child sex crimes has been resentenced by the court.

At the hearing Tuesday afternoon for Andrew Thomas Barbee, 28, of Knob Noster, the prosecutor amended one count to child molestation in the first degree. The change reportedly fulfilled the Appealate Court mandate to the lower court. Judge William B. Collins sentenced Barbee to serve 15 years in the Department of Corrections, with this sentence to run consecutive to the 50 consecutive years already sentenced.

Barbee was already sentenced to 20 years each for statutory sodomy and 10 years for another child molestation charge.
