CASS COUNTY, Mo. — A Belton driver was hospitalized after rear ending a car at an intersection in Cass County Tuesday afternoon.

According to the crash report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, 48-year-old Scott Campbell was southbound on Highway 291, north of Highway 58, just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A second vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Keith Burgess of Pleasant Hill, slowed ahead of Campbell for a stop light and was struck in the rear by Campbell.

Campbell, who was not wearing a seat belt according to the report, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Belton Regional Medical Center for treatment.
