TRENTON, Mo.– Trenton Police Department is launching a new program to local female high school students. The Blue Line Ladies Youth Law Enforcement Academy allows students to explore a career in criminal justice through a one-day training opportunity.

Some of the topics covered at the Blue Line Ladies Academy will be patrol, 911 communications, traffic enforcement, investigations, crime scene investigations, community and problem solving policing, criminal prosecution, probation and parole, law enforcement equipment, juvenile justice, and criminal justice education.
The training is scheduled for July 30, 2016, from 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Grundy County Law Enforcement Center and is FREE of charge. Lunch will be provided. There will also be a graduation celebration, pool party and dinner at the Trenton Aquatic Center from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The class size is limited to the first 15 registrants.
