A Blue Springs driver is detoxing in the Jackson County Detention Center this morning. According to the Highway Patrol, Evan M. Carter, 28, of Blue Springs was stopped just before 2 a.m. this morning and was allegedly driving while intoxicated, speeding, committed a lane violation, displayed plates of another, failed to register the vehicle, possessed up to 35 grams of marijuana, unlawfully used drug paraphernalia, resisted arrest, had no insurance and had not had his vehicle inspected. He is spending 12 hours to sober up before receiving his citations later today.
