The Odessa Board of Education is scheduled to discuss finances at Monday’s meeting. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Superintendent Bob Brinkley:
Brinkley said the District has done a good job of managing the budget despite cuts from the State. “Our district, like a lot of other districts, has had to make significant cuts,” said Brinkley, “The nice thing, in the position that we’re at, we have very strong fund balances, and have operated in the black for the last three years, which we’re very proud of, and continued to project that to be the case.”
The Board is also scheduled to approve student and employee handbooks. Brinkley said there are no significant changes this year.
They meet at 7:00 p.m.
