DEKALB COUNTY, Mo. — A water main break has caused a boil advisory to be put into effect for Union Star, in Dekalb County.

The notice indicates that as of 8:39 p.m. on August 23, Union Star is under a boil advisory until further notice.

Authorities said they would post notices when the advisory is lifted.

Residents should boil water for at least three minutes before use for consumption and brushing teeth. Authorities also are encouraging use of one teaspoon of bleach per gallon for hand washed dishes.
