Press Release from the Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys:
The Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys has selected Boone County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Knight as the Prosecutor of the Year. “Dan exemplifies the finest qualities of a prosecutor — honesty, fairness, integrity and professionalism.” said MAPA President and St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch. “As prosecutors, we seek justice, not popularity. We make many difficult decisions on a daily basis and do what we believe is right. Dan portrays these values on a daily basis. He is a model prosecutor for the rest of the state.”
“I am extremely honored to receive this award from my peers, and I am very grateful to my hard working co-workers who made this possible,” said Knight. Knight has been the elected Prosecuting Attorney since January 1, 2007 and previously served as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Boone County for 14 years. The award will be presented at the Missouri Bar Annual Meeting in October.
