COOPER COUNTY, Mo. — A Boonville resident was injured when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail Thursday morning, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports.

The accident happened in Cooper County on I-70’s 111 mile marker shortly after 5:20 this morning. 24-year-old Dakota Reed’s eastbound vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, slid and came back onto the road. Reed’s vehicle then exited the right side of the roadway, striking a guardrail and continually sliding until it came to rest in the passing lane of I-70.

Reed sustained moderate injuries in the accident. He was transported to University Hospital via Cooper County EMS.
