BOSWORTH, Mo. — A fire at a residence fire officials believe was abandoned was fought by firefighters from the Carrollton Fire Department early Sunday morning.
According to Tyler Bowlen, an official with the Carrollton Fire Department, crews received the a call at 12:51 a.m. Sunday regarding a reported fire in the 300 block of West Grossman Street in Bosworth.
Firefighters requested mutual aid and were on the scene fighting the flames for nearly two hours. Bowlen told KMZU News the fire was contained by 2:41 a.m. Sunday.
Bowlen was unable to provide details to the extent of the fire, stating that he believed “it did not go to the ground,” however adding that the structure suffered “extensive” damage.
