The Lions Club does a number of wonderful things to help people in many ways.  “We’re doing this for different projects in the community to help out people that are in need,” said Herring, “Whether it might be healthy problems and things like that are what we normally do with the money.  If somebody is needing glasses or school kids, we help with all that sort of stuff.  We also do a lot of community service projects within the town.”

There will be plenty to choose from, but you may want a bit of all of it.  “We’ll have fresh catfish fried, baked beans, hush puppies, cole slaw and dessert,” said Herring, “Usually we have quite a bit of home made pies.  Also we furnish the drinks, we’ll have coffee, tea, and lemonade.”

Tonight’s dinner is sure to be delicious.  “I think everybody’s always pleased to eat our fish,” Herring said, “I think we do a real good job of frying it, so they ‘re going to eat a real good meal if they make it out.”

The dinner will start at 5:00 and run until 7:00 p.m.

Kids 6 and under are $5 each and 7 and older are $9 each.
