After the Big Mijit concert at the Carrol County Fair Beef and Pork Palace, fair goers will have a place to get a late night snack. Click to hear KMZU’s Bob Allen talk with University of Missouri Extension Office Youth Associate Anita Reid:
According to Reid, organizers of the event were looking for a way to feed their patrons after the performance. In response, the Carroll County 4-H Council will be serving biscuits and gravy from 11:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m Saturday. Reid says money raised will be used to send members to camp, State 4-H Congress, and Citizenship Washington Focus, a national youth conference. This is the second year for the fundraiser and Reid hopes to see an uptick in numbers as awareness of the event grows.
