UPDATE: – 10:30 a.m. – Dispatchers say West Central Fire Protection called for assistance by Concordia and Alma Fire Departments to battle the blaze. No injuries have been reported. Preliminary investigations reveal the fire may have been caused by a lightning strike.

UPDATE: – 9 a.m. – Reports indicate the fire may now be close to being contained.

BLACKBURN, MO – 8:30 a.m. – A structure fire in Blackburn is presently being attended to by firefighters.

Initial reports indicate a structure is fully engulfed in flames on Main Street in Blackburn, according to witnesses.  Residents have said the structure had been used by the road district. It is unclear whether the structure was occupied.

West Central Fire Protection called for assistance by Concordia to battle the blaze.

No further reports were made by authorities.
