NORBORNE, Mo. — KMZU News has confirmed reports of a vehicle crashing into the front of a school in Norborne Monday morning.
KMZU News was able to catch up with Norborne Superintendent Troy Lentz, who said the incident occurred just after 9:30 a.m. Monday.
“We had an incident where a vehicle veered off the road [Monday] morning and, uh, it struck the front side of our elementary school,” Lentz said.
Lentz went on to say that no students were injured in the incident, however would not disclose the condition of the driver involved.
Damage to the exterior of the building was described as cosmetic, however students from two classrooms have been relocated elsewhere within the school for the next few days as repairs are made.
Lentz says that while he is not concerned about students physical safety, he encourages parents to get in touch with their kids today to be sure they have the emotional support they need.
