One person is injured after a two vehicle accident this morning in Caldwell County.
According to an online crash report filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, both vehicles were traveling eastbound on US 36, 1 mile east of Hamilton at 8:26 a.m. when a vehicle driven by Kevin C. Schuler, 38, ran into a towed unit of Cody R. Reeder, 30, as Reeder was attempting to turn southbound onto Spring Hill Road.
Due to the collision, both vehicles traveled off the west side of the roadway and into the center median. Both drivers were reportedly wearing safety devices.
Reeder received moderate injuries in the crash and was transported to Liberty Hospital for treatment.
CALDWELL COUNTY, Mo. — Emergency crews are at the scene of a crash on 36 Highway just east of Hamilton.
The crash was reported around 9:00 a.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes of traffic.
A pick-up truck and FedEx Truck were reportedly involved in the collision. It was not immediately clear if anyone involved was injured.
The roadway is not blocked at this time, however emergency personnel are still at the scene off the left shoulder and drivers in the area should exercise caution.
