UPDATE: 04/10/2018, 10:34 a.m. — All subjects sought in a manhunt in northeast Carroll County are in custody.

That’s according to a Facebook post on the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page. A vehicle chase ensued around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday when a man driving a black Cadillac north on 65 Highway in Carroll County allegedly refused to stop for speeding.

The chase went through Hale and resulted in a crash off Route H near the Hale/Sumner Junction.

The male driver of the vehicle was taken into custody without incident however a female passenger fled on foot and a search resulted. Livingston and Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputies and Highway Patrol Troopers called in a helicopter to aid in the search. The identities of those involved in the incident were not immediately disclosed. 

Reports indicate the helicopter has left the area and the woman is in custody. 



UPDATE: 04/10/2018, 9:55 a.m. — A vehicle chase that began on 65 Highway in Carroll County has resulted in an ongoing manhunt near the Carroll/Livingston County line. A spokesperson for the Missouri State Highway Patrol told KMZU News the chase began when a northbound vehicle on 65 refused to pull over for speeding early Tuesday morning.

Sgt. Bill Lowe with the Missouri State Highway Patrol said two suspects were involved in the chase and one is still at large. The male driver of a black Cadillac, which crashed on Route H near the Hale/Sumner Junction, was apprehended and a female suspect fled on foot and is still being sought by law enforcement.

Sgt. Lowe stressed that there is no perceived danger to anyone in the area. The search was reportedly expanding south to include Hale. A helicopter has been deployed to assist with the search.

CARROLL COUNTY, Mo.. — KMZU News has confirmed reports of an incident involving a vehicle and foot chase in northern Carroll County.

A spokesperson for the Missouri Highway Patrol said that law enforcement officials were at the scene of the Sumner/Hale Junction near Route H Tuesday morning after a vehicle chase through Hale.

The chase reportedly reached high speeds and was first reported around 7:15 Tuesday morning. According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, the chase crossed into Livingston County.

An unidentified person was reportedly involved in the chase and had crashed their vehicle and fled on foot.

Highway Patrol troopers as well as Carroll County and Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies were at the scene in search of the suspect.

People in the area are encouraged to stay vigilant and avoid the area if at all possible. Anyone with information should contact their local authorities.
