(UPDATE: 04/24/17 04:08 p.m.)-  According to an official report from the Oak Grove Police Department, at 10:25 am, Oak Grove Police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of SW 21st St. on a 911 hang-up call.

Upon arrival officers learned an armed male suicidal subject had barricaded himself inside the residence.

After a brief standoff the subject was taken into custody with the assistance of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, and without any further incident.

OAK GROVE, Mo. — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department is assisting the Oak Grove Police Department regarding an armed suicidal subject in Oak Grove.

A spokesperson for the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department told KMZU News Monday morning that deputies were responding to an undisclosed location in Oak Grove.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the incident is taking place near the Civic Center in Oak Grove.

It was also reported that armored personnel in tactical gear were on the scene and that at least one armored vehicle was at the scene, however these reports have not been confirmed by authorities.
