UPDATE 04/19/17 12:02 p.m. — The Highway Patrol has confirmed the scene has been cleared and the roadway is open to traffic again.
UPDATE 04/19/17 9:12 a.m. — The Highway Patrol said that the vehicle that rolled over was a logging truck and there are now logs blocking the roadway. The roadway “could be blocked for a while,” according to a spokesman for the Highway Patrol. Drivers in the area should plan accordingly and consider alternative routes if they are able to.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol has confirmed reports of an overturned truck on O Highway in Lafayette County.
According to the Highway Patrol, the crash happened on O Highway south of Hollow Branch Road just before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Confirmed reports indicate that the Highway Patrol is on the scene at this time and other emergency personnel are en route as well.
It was confirmed that the roadway is blocked, however it was reported that only the southbound lane of the roadway is obstructed by the 18 wheeler.
There is no information about possible injuries sustained by anyone involved in the accident.
Drivers in the area are encouraged to be cautious and avoid the area if possible.
