The District received notification that a parent who did not have custody of his child had taken the student from a neighboring school. Brookfield was told the man intended to enroll his kid in their district.
Law enforcement located the child, but the schools went into lockdown mode while the father could not be found.
The situation has been resolved. The lockdown was enacted for a total of about 15 minutes. Students were released about five minutes late.
