There will be a benefit dinner hosted by the Brunswick Knights of Columbus today to raise money for the area Heritage Museum. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross speak with spokesperson Carol Ross:
Ross said the goal is to complete necessary projects on the building. “We will use the funds to build a handicap-accessible ramp to our museum which is above Brunswick City Hall,” said Ross, “We do have to have this before we can open. We have been in the process of opening this museum for quite some time.”
Once the project is complete, the museum will host a variety of displays. “We hope to have all kinds of memorabilia from the area, ” said Ross, “We have already started our collection and have a number of folks that have indicated they have items available. It will just create a general history of the area.”
The dinner will be in the Brunswick Knights of Columbus Hall from 11 a.m. till 1:30 this afternoon. Prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children, and kids 5 and under will eat free.
