A city street resurfacing project is going to modify bus routes in Carrollton on Wednesday and Thursday.  The district announced the changes in a letter sent to parents on Tuesday.  A copy of the letter is below:

Parents,

Due to city street re-surfacing work on Wednesday the 11th and Thursday the 12th, we will have to make the following modifications for school bus morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off.

– For all students riding the bus that live on Main Street and Monroe Street, between First Street and Fourth Street, gather at the Methodist Church, the bus will utilize the Baptist Church parking lot to turn around.

– For all students on First Street between Ely and Folger, the bus will pick up along Benton.

– For all students on Austin and Rea, the bus will pick up at Second and Locust.

These will also be the areas utilized for dropping students off in the afternoon.

The district has two buses that will be in these areas picking up students.  Do not hesitate to let your child on either bus as they will get them delivered to school.  Because the buses will be backtracking in some areas, there could be a slight delay in afternoon drop off.

We apologize for this inconvenience, but it is necessary as we will not be able to travel down the street(s) as they are being re-surfaced.  As soon as it is complete, regular routes will resume.

Thank you for your help.
