MARSHALL, Mo. — A regular meeting of the Marshall City Council is scheduled for Monday night.

A tentative agenda lists a number of items up for discussion, including requests to close various streets in the city for events, among them St. Peter School Field Day May 15 and Jim the Wonder Dog Day June 1.

Officials will also discuss the telephone system used by the City of Marshall.

A resolution will be brought forward to seek funding through the Community Development Block Grand Program. The city will also formally express its opposition to Missouri House Bill 1062, relating to the city’s ability to access “clean, inexpensive and reliable electricity”.

Monday’s meeting of the Marshall City Council is slated to get underway in the Marshall City Office Building at 6:00 p.m.
