COLE COUNTY, Mo. — A crash in Cole County resulted in a driver being flown to an area hospital for lifesaving treatment.

A crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates a crash on State Highway 179 happened at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday morning as a northbound vehicle operated by California, Mo. resident Kenneth V. Conger, 80, was just north of North Rock Creek Road in Cole County.

His truck went off the right side of the highway before striking a concrete culvert.

His vehicle then continued barreling north, striking a second concrete culvert, causing the vehicle to overturn. It came to rest in a creek on its top.

Conger sustained serious injuries in the crash and was flown by Staff for Life to University Hospital in Columbia to receive treatment.
