The search for Chillicothe’s next City Administrator is nearing an end. Committee members interviewed two candidates over the weekend. Click to hear KMZU’s Chelsea Wade talk with Mayor Chuck Haney:
According to Mayor Haney, the search committee has moved through the process quickly. “There were 51 candidates that applied for this position, which is far more than what we had three-and-a-half years ago. I think it was a total of 31 when we completed this same process. The council and search committee has taken their time working through this process since mid April when our former Administrator resigned. I think the community will be happy with the final selection.”
Haney said the chosen candidate could start within a month and a half. “That would put it around September first, but we did all of the advertising and interviewing in a relatively short amount of time. We are working on a pretty good schedule. We didn’t rush it. We think we did it right and in the end I think we will find that we did it right,” Haney said.
A third and final candidate will be interviewed this weekend.
