Spring is just around the corner, which means the Katy Depot First Friday events are back and the first show gets started with refreshments at 5:30 this evening. “It’s going to be Patrick Lee,” said White, “He is portraying Captain William Clark from Lewis and Clark, the famed group that headed to the West coast and came back.”
To start the 2015 event year off right, the depot brought in a regular to the station that will make you believe you have met the man he is portraying. “He does a first person impression,” White explained Lee’s style of performance, “When he is in character, he is that person and he doesn’t step out of character and talk about when that person died. For instance, if you ask him ‘after you died, what happened’, he’ll say ‘I don’t know I’m not dying’. So you get a really good idea that he has taken over that personality.”
Tonight’s festivities are free and open to the public. While registration is not required, it is suggested as seating is limited.
To register, call the Sedalia Katy Depot at 660-826-2932.
