LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. – Lexington first responders were dispatched around 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning, to a car in the flood water.

The caller reported there were some girls in a car at the bridge near Pioneer House. Officer Candylin Pemberton of the Lexington Police Department confirmed a car had driven into flood waters on 224 Highway about a half mile from Highland Avenue.

Captain Hoosier with the Lexington Fire Department said there were four occupants in the vehicle, who eventually walked out of the water on their own.
