A De Witt man pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of felonious restraint and one count of domestic assault in the second degree.  Arthur Baxley Jr., 32, was sentenced to six years suspended execution of sentence on each count to run concurrently.  He is also required to enter a 120-day treatment program as part of the sentence.

Baxley was arrested in October and initially charged with kidnapping, armed criminal action, and second-degree domestic assault.  According to court documents, he went to a woman’s home with a tazer and allegedly threatened to kill her.  He is also accused of terrorizing her for about five hours.

Baxley is facing additional charges of unlawful use of a weapon and third-degree domestic assault related to a separate incident.  A hearing in that case is scheduled for Feb. 7 at 9:00 a.m.
