CARROLLTON, Mo. — There is a common belief that staying healthy whether that is eating right or working out is expensive.


Not everyone can afford to have a gym membership, especially in small communities.

The Carroll County YMCA has a program called Partners With Youth Campaign program dedicated to helping low income families afford a gym membership with the help of donations from local farmers.

Carroll County YMCA Executive Director Kathy Lock explains the YMCA received a $2,500 dollar donation from Brandon O’Neal, a local Carroll County Farmer a part of the America’s Farmers Grow Communities charity. The money will help fund the program for the second year in a row.
