The first order of business saw council approving an ordinance for the city to enter into an agreement with Carroll County Trust Company for a project at the electrical plant.

Joey McLiney of McLiney and Company arranged the Personal Property Lease Purchase with the bank and went over the arrangement.
Council also approved an emergency motion authorizing Mayor Bryan Mathis to accept the lowest bid by phone for a roof repair at the sewer plant’s office. A serious leak is near critical equipment and needs repair immediately.
Another part of the agenda Monday night was an Ordinance for the city to enter into a contract with RF Benchmark Construction out of Manhattan, Kansas to renovate the Head Start Building at Walnut Hills.
Administrative Assistant Bell spoke about the Missouri Valley Community Action Agency already running it for some time but more renovation needs to be done to complete work.
M.V.C.A.A. will operate the center on a 10 year lease with the city retaining ownership.
Council also approved a bid for road salts through the lowest bidder, Independent Salt Company, at a rate of $65.99 per ton delivered. Council approved the purchase of 50 tons for a total of $3,299.50
The next regular session of the Carrollton City Council will be Monday, August 1, 2016.
