A few bids were on the agenda for the Carrollton City Council last night.  Ward I Councilman Scott Bartlett says the group plans to revisit one of the bid proposals at a later date.

Council members also selected a bid for the purchase of equipment that will raise the quality of road repairs.  Bartlett says the community will buy a stomper to compact soil back to a solid level after road work is complete….

The committee briefly discussed an Emergency Operations Center meeting that was recently held.  According to Bartlett the meeting was an effort to prepare for possible floods.

Although the river forecast changes with the weather Bartlett says he’s encouraged by reports that levees in the area are in better shape than they were during the flood of 1993.
In other business the council accepted the lone bid from L& L Towing to repair a city dump truck.
