(UPDATE 01/10/2017) — Two Carrollton residents have been sentenced for September 2016 drug charges.  

Lesa Maria Zamarripa Cardenas, 32, and Roger Cardenas, 41, were each sentenced to probation with a suspended imposition of sentence.  

CARROLLTON, Mo.– Two Carrollton residents who were arrested late September on felony drug charges are scheduled for court next month.

Carrollton Police, with assistance from the Multi-Jurisdiction Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant on the 100 block of Main Street, and arrested 32-year-old Lesa Maria Zamarripa Cardenas and 41-year-old Roger Cardenas.

The Department issued a statement later, thanking the community for the assistance in the arrests.

They each face five felony charges of possession of a controlled substance, one misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and two misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

The two pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday, October 11, 2016, and hearings have been rescheduled to November 10, 2016, at 9 a.m. in Carrollton.
