CARROLL COUNTY, Mo. — Drug delivery charges were filed Tuesday in a Carroll County courtroom against a resident of Carrollton.
A warrant was served by the Missouri Highway Patrol and officers with the Carrollton Police Department September 29 for a probation violation out of Saline County against Matthew Cameron Charlton, 22 at a residence on Main Street in Carrollton.
When Charlton was taken into custody, officers searched his apartment and found multiple drugs and items related to drug use.
Substances which tested positive as methamphetamine and marijuana were logged into evidence, as well as multiple items of drug paraphernalia, according to court records.
Charlton is formally charged with delivery of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana, possession of 10 grams or less of marijuana as well as unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
He is currently held at the Saline County Jail without bond.
Charlton is slated to appear for a hearing in a Carroll County courtroom at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28.
