Press Release from the Carrollton Public Library
The Carrollton Public Library is holding a holiday drive to collect patron donations to add to the library’s media collection. The patrons of the library have answered to call to develop the media collection that houses audio CD books, DVD and VHS movies to huge success last year and the library will ask again for the patron donations. Gently used audio CD books, DVD and/or VHS movies that patrons wish to share will be accepted and donor forms will be available if requested.
Beginning Monday, December 18 and ending on Friday, December 23, the library will offer “fine free week” to celebrate the holiday season of giving. During this week, patrons who have overdue materials could bring them by the library or use the two outside drop boxes to return those items. Patrons are encouraged to return books or other materials during this week as all fines will be waived during this week. This will enable the library staff to perform an inventory of shelf items and clear the patrons’ records for the new year.
The Carrollton Public Library will be closed on Saturday, December 24 and Sunday, December 25th. Regular hours will resume on Monday, December 26th at 9 am.
Happy Holidays !
