Missouri Secretary of State, Jay Ashcroft, has announced the Carrollton Public Library has been awarded a Missouri State Library grant of $9,292 for coronavirus health and safety concerns. Ashcroft was quoted as saying, “Missouri’s libraries are integral to the communities they serve and the resources they offer are vital. These funds help our libraries face the unique obstacles presented by the coronavirus so they can continue offering key services and programs to their patrons.” The library will use the grant funds to hire staff, provide laptops for staff, to redesign the library’s website and to implement a hot spot and tablet lending program for patrons.
