A Sedalia man and Carrollton woman are due in Carroll County court April 1st following their arrest last week.
According to the probable cause statement, in the early morning hours of March 13th a Carrollton Police Officer witnessed a vehicle fail to properly signal several times near the 300 block of East Third Street and initiated a traffic stop.
The vehicle sped off and led officers on a brief pursuit before the car was disabled by a spike strip. After a search of the vehicle the driver, Justin L Denny, 34, was arrested and charged with 3 felony counts of possession of marijuana, and two misdemeanor counts of marijuana possession. Denny is also charged with felony resisting arrest.
The passenger, Dawn R. King, 33, was also charged with three felony counts of marijuana possession and two misdemeanor counts.
Denny is free on a $25-thousasnd bond. King remains incarcerated in the Ray County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
