The Carrollton City council quickly tackled what started out as a light agenda during the Monday night meeting.  In old business the council discussed Country Club Road which will soon undergo changes that will allow the city to properly maintain the roadway throughout the year.

Representatives with the Green Oaks Housing division were on hand to inquire about the city annexing the neighborhood.  Council members confirmed the area will need a majority vote from Green Oaks residents before the city will proceed with the idea.

In other business Marshall resident Robert Bakert was hired as a new police officer.  The nomination of Brian Mathis for the city street board was also approved.
