CASS COUNTY, Mo. — Felony charges have been filed against a Cass County man stemming from an incident from December of 2017.
According to a probable cause statement, Jon J. Parris, 37 became visibly upset about the location of two dirt bikes which belonged to the victims son. Parris then dragged the victim out of the bed she was sleeping in and physically injured her before unlocking a gun safe and fired in the house.
The victim was not hit by any bullets and made an escape from the house in a black Chevy and called law enforcement. The victim was visibly shaken and emotional during contact with police.
Parris is formally charged with sodomy or attempted sodomy in the first degree, domestic assault in the third degree, and unlawful use of a weapon. He is held on a $100,000 cash only bond.
There are no court dates currently scheduled.
