The Howard County MU Extension Office will be presenting programs for livestock producers at two locations on Monday February 23. The first program that day will be at JB’s restaurant in Carrollton at 11:30 am and the second will be in Marshall at Bloomfield’s at 6:30 pm.
“We have three speakers that day discussing different topics. David Patterson, State Beef Reproduction Specialist with the Show-Me-Select program will discuss quality management: Mike Kasten, Program Director of Quality Beef will explain how this program can increase the quality of cattle produced: and Darrell Busby with Iowa State University Outreach on improving the quality and reputation of Missouri cattle,” stated Livestock Specialist and County Program Director, Wendy Flatt.
The only cost for producers is for their meal but they need to reserve their space by the end of day on Friday, February 20 by calling the extension office in Carroll County at 660-542-1792 or Saline County at 660-886-6908 or by calling Wendy at 660-248-2272.
