The Cattlemen’s Beef Board has filled the leadership position left vacant when Tom Jones resigned as Chairman. The board has voted unanimously to elect Wesley Grau (rhymes with cow) of New Mexico to finish out the year as Chairman. Weldon Wynn of Arkansas moves up to Grau’s previous position as Vice Chairman – and Roger West of Florida moves up to the Secretary-Treasurer’s seat – previously held by Wynn.
Grau is a partner in Grau Charolais Farm and Ranch and also raises wheat. Wynn owns Wynn Beefmaster Farms and Wynn Rice and Soybean Farm. West is a retired meat-sciences professor at the University of Florida. All have served in various national and state cattle industry positions.
