A Centralia resident has spent most of the night in the Cooper County Jail on drug accusations. According to the Highway Patrol, Jeremy R. Moore, 23, was arrested just before 9 p.m. Tuesday night after he was stopped for alleged following too close and failure to drive on the right half of roadway. During the stop, Moore was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated – by drugs, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of a controlled substance. Moore is currently on a 24 hour hold as he awaits formal charges.
