The Saline County Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against a Concordia resident following a shooting at an apartment complex in the 600 block of Walnut Street Monday night in Sweet Springs.
According to court documents, Richard Silas, 25, and Meghan Hamline, 22, were injured in the incident at the Sunset Village Apartments around 11 p.m. Richard Silas was taken to I-70 Medical Center. Hamline was transported by air ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia. Their conditions are not known.
Joesph Silas, 25, turned himself into authorities Tuesday. He faces two felony counts of first degree assault and armed criminal action, as well as additional charges of shooting from a moving vehicle. Joesph Silas is being held in the county jail on a $100,000 bond.
