INDIAN CREEK LAKE, MO Access II Independent Living Center held their Fall Fishing Tournament Sunday September 8 at Indian Creek Lake. The non-profit agency had a good turnout despite early morning rain. Fourteen fisherman participated and raised $400 for the organization who provides a variety of services to people with disabilities in Northwest Missouri.
“The equipment and programs we are able to help fund truly make an impact in the day-to-day lives of our neighbors with disabilities. We cannot thank our return anglers enough.” said Jessica Adkins, Access II Marketing and Development Director.
The winning fisherman caught over an 11 lb bass with the second place finisher catching a 10.99 pounder.
Access II offers free medical equipment, accessible transportation, and have provided accessible playground equipment to local schools. They hold two fishing tournaments a year.
