Chilli Bay Water Park opened for the first time Friday.  Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with City Administrator Ike Holland:

Ike Holland

Holland said Friday’s attendance was good, but not too packed.  He believes many people may not have realized the new facility was open.  “That was okay because we did that intentionally to test the system with a smaller crowd and to make sure that all the slides and everything is operationally safe,” said Holland.

The Grand Opening will be held at noon Saturday.  The water park will remain open until six.  The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held Wednesday morning at ten.
