The Chamber of Commerce and City Officials gathered for the Chilli Bay Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday. Click to hear KMZU’s Chelsea Pounds speak with City Administrator Ike Holland:
Holland said the city has received positive feedback and Wednesday’s event went well. “We had some speeches from the Mayor and the staff then we cut the Ribbon. Afterwards we took a nice tour of the facility.” He added, “We got a lot of good comments and feedback from the people.” About 75 people attended the ceremony.
Holland said Chilli Bay has one especially unique feature. “We have some tiki huts that have some luxury seating and very nice lounges. We really want people to take a look at those.” He added, “It is the only place in the immediate area that has anything like it. You can get in the hammock and have a nice drink, and it’s a nice view of the overall park.”
The tiki huts can reserved for 3 hours at a rate of $15.00
Many of those involved in the project were recognized at Wednesday’s ceremony.
