8 of the 9 members of the newly appointed administrative search committee for the city of Chillicothe met in open session Tuesday afternoon in the council chambers of the city hall.
Purpose of the meeting was the organization of the committee for electing a chairperson and secretary and to discuss information regarding the search process and what is expected of the committee.
David Moore was elected chairman and Patricia Anderson was elected secretary. Mr. Moore is the councilman-at-large and mayor pro-tem and is an automatic appointment to the committee as a voting member.
8 others were placed on a list by council members and given to the mayor to serve on the committee. Those members are John Cook, Gordon Smith, Nona Wilkinson, William Hulett, Fritz Kline, Dennis Savage, and David Macoubrie. Mayor Chuck Haney serves as an ex-official non-voting member.
The committee will met again in open session at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, in the city council chambers to farther discuss any possible changes in the job description, proposed questions and the current ordinance of administrator power.
