An Emergency Management Performance Grant has been awarded to Livingston County and the City of Chillicothe. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Fire Chief Darrell Wright:
The funds will be used for the planning and performance of Emergency Management. “We’re going to buy a little bit of equipment. And we do a contract employee that we pay some of the salary. And then some of it goes into just the operations,” said Wright.
The matching grant is worth $15,362. The funds the City and County had to raise to receive the grant came from their operating budget. They had to provide about $30,000, and the grant was then reimbursed.
